Este 22 de mayo, M\u00e9xico y la Uni\u00f3n Europea\u00a0<strong>firmar\u00e1n la modernizaci\u00f3n de su acuerdo comercial<\/strong>, un movimiento que reducir\u00e1 o eliminar\u00e1 aranceles para decenas de productos alimenticios europeos que durante a\u00f1os enfrentaron impuestos elevados para entrar al pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La medida no solo representa un cambio econ\u00f3mico. Tambi\u00e9n redefine el acceso a&nbsp;<strong>ingredientes premium en restaurantes<\/strong>, hoteles, wine bars, tiendas gourmet y supermercados mexicanos, en un momento donde el consumo aspiracional y el mercado delicatessen viven uno de sus periodos de mayor crecimiento en el pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Entre los productos europeos que tendr\u00e1n acceso preferencial a M\u00e9xico&nbsp;<strong>destacan quesos madurados, jamones curados, embutidos, carne de cerdo, aves de corral, chocolate, vinos, pasta italiana, mermeladas y conservas tradicionales.<\/strong>&nbsp;Algunos de estos productos pagaban aranceles de hasta 100%, especialmente en categor\u00edas sensibles como l\u00e1cteos y c\u00e1rnicos europeos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El impacto podr\u00eda sentirse r\u00e1pidamente en ciudades como Ciudad de M\u00e9xico, Monterrey y Guadalajara, donde&nbsp;<strong>el mercado gastron\u00f3mico premium<\/strong>&nbsp;ha crecido impulsado por restaurantes especializados, cocinas italianas, francesas y espa\u00f1olas, adem\u00e1s del auge de barras de vino, charcuter\u00edas y tiendas gourmet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/imagenes.eleconomista.com.mx\/files\/webp_768_768\/uploads\/2026\/05\/20\/6a0dfefa3d9fe.jpeg\" alt=\"image\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Jam\u00f3n SerranoFreepik<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-el-acuerdo-que-cambia-el-negocio-gourmet-en-mexico\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">El acuerdo que cambia el negocio gourmet en M\u00e9xico<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La Uni\u00f3n Europea llevaba a\u00f1os presionando para ampliar el acceso de sus productos agroalimentarios al mercado mexicano. El&nbsp;<strong>nuevo acuerdo comercial finalmente&nbsp;<\/strong>abrir\u00e1 una ventana estrat\u00e9gica para productores europeos que buscan crecer fuera del mercado estadounidense y asi\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La modernizaci\u00f3n del tratado contempla facilidades sanitarias, reducci\u00f3n de barreras aduanales y disminuci\u00f3n de costos log\u00edsticos, algo clave para productos perecederos y de alto valor gastron\u00f3mico. En otras palabras:&nbsp;<strong>ser\u00e1 m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil, r\u00e1pido y barato<\/strong>&nbsp;importar alimentos premium europeos a M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Para el sector restaurantero mexicano esto representa una transformaci\u00f3n importante. Importadores consultados por medios europeos estiman que algunos productos podr\u00edan&nbsp;<strong>reducir sus costos finales entre 10% y 25% dependiendo&nbsp;<\/strong>del tipo de alimento, volumen y cadena log\u00edstica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eso podr\u00eda modificar&nbsp;<strong>desde cartas de restaurantes italianos hasta el precio de tablas de quesos<\/strong>, vinos europeos o jamones curados en experiencias gastron\u00f3micas de ticket alto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-quesos-vino-y-jamon-los-productos-estrella-que-ganan-terreno\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quesos, vino y jam\u00f3n: los productos estrella que ganan terreno<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Uno de los sectores m\u00e1s beneficiados ser\u00e1 el de quesos europeos. Productos franceses, italianos, espa\u00f1oles y neerlandeses podr\u00e1n entrar con condiciones preferenciales a M\u00e9xico,&nbsp;<strong>fortaleciendo un mercado gourmet<\/strong>&nbsp;que ha crecido de forma acelerada en la \u00faltima d\u00e9cada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tambi\u00e9n se espera un incremento en la presencia de vinos europeos, especialmente espa\u00f1oles, italianos y franceses, en un momento donde M\u00e9xico vive un auge en el consumo de vino y experiencias enol\u00f3gicas. La Organizaci\u00f3n Internacional de<strong>&nbsp;la Vi\u00f1a y el Vino ha se\u00f1alado anteriormente<\/strong>&nbsp;que M\u00e9xico es uno de los mercados emergentes m\u00e1s din\u00e1micos para el consumo premium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El acuerdo adem\u00e1s&nbsp;<strong>fortalece la protecci\u00f3n de m\u00e1s de 568 denominaciones de origen<\/strong>&nbsp;e indicaciones geogr\u00e1ficas europeas.
