De acuerdo con el Instituto Nacional de Salud P\u00fablica, alrededor de 37% de las personas adultas en M\u00e9xico vive con obesidad, y la Ensanut&nbsp;<strong>ha documentado que el sobrepeso y la obesidad afectan a m\u00e1s de 7 de cada 10 adultos.<\/strong>&nbsp;En ni\u00f1as, ni\u00f1os y adolescentes, la alerta tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 encendida: la Ensanut Continua 2020-2023 report\u00f3 que 36.5% de la poblaci\u00f3n escolar de 5 a 11 a\u00f1os ten\u00eda sobrepeso u obesidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-cuando-el-cuerpo-no-alcanza-a-enfriarse\"><strong>Cuando el cuerpo no alcanza a enfriarse<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El calor extremo no afecta a todos por igual. Los Centros para el Control y la Prevenci\u00f3n de Enfermedades de Estados Unidos se\u00f1alan que la obesidad es un factor de riesgo para enfermedades relacionadas con el calor, porque las personas con sobrepeso u obesidad tienden a retener m\u00e1s calor corporal. La Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud tambi\u00e9n advierte&nbsp;<strong>que el calor puede agravar enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas como diabetes<\/strong>, padecimientos cardiovasculares y respiratorios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/imagenes.eleconomista.com.mx\/files\/squarewebp_768_768\/uploads\/2026\/05\/02\/69f67a5ad08f9.jpeg\" alt=\"image\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Ah\u00ed entra la alimentaci\u00f3n. En d\u00edas de altas temperaturas, comer pesado, abusar de bebidas azucaradas, alcohol, ultraprocesados o comidas con exceso de grasa puede hacer m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil la hidrataci\u00f3n y la digesti\u00f3n. En cambio,&nbsp;<strong>una dieta con frutas, verduras, agua simple<\/strong>&nbsp;y preparaciones frescas puede ayudar a reducir la carga metab\u00f3lica del cuerpo. La nota base plantea esta relaci\u00f3n entre calor extremo, obesidad y salud metab\u00f3lica como un punto clave para protegerse durante la temporada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-comer-fresco-tambien-es-prevencion\"><strong>Comer fresco tambi\u00e9n es prevenci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La recomendaci\u00f3n gastron\u00f3mica no est\u00e1 en dejar de comer, sino en comer mejor y m\u00e1s ligero. Sand\u00eda, pepino, j\u00edcama, apio, mel\u00f3n, caldos ligeros, ensaladas con prote\u00edna magra,<strong>&nbsp;aguas frescas sin exceso de az\u00facar<\/strong>&nbsp;y porciones m\u00e1s peque\u00f1as pueden ser aliados en d\u00edas de calor. Tambi\u00e9n conviene evitar comidas abundantes al mediod\u00eda, reducir frituras y moderar cafe\u00edna y alcohol, que pueden favorecer la deshidrataci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La dieta no sustituye la atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica ni las medidas b\u00e1sicas&nbsp;<strong>\u2014hidratarse, evitar el sol directo y buscar lugares frescos\u2014<\/strong>, pero s\u00ed puede convertirse en una herramienta diaria para que el cuerpo responda mejor.
