Sin embargo, su cercan\u00eda a Sagitario A*, el agujero negro central de nuestra galaxia, siempre dudas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Una se\u00f1al de radio<\/strong>, como una especie de latido procedente de las proximidades de&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalgeographic.com.es\/ciencia\/captan-primera-imagen-agujero-negro-masivo-centro-via-lactea_18244\">Sagitario A*<\/a>, el agujero negro sobre el que orbita la V\u00eda L\u00e1ctea, ha generado una enorme expectaci\u00f3n. \u00bfEl motivo?&nbsp;<strong>Podr\u00eda tratarse de un&nbsp;<em>p\u00falsar de milisegundo<\/em><\/strong>, es decir, de una&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalgeographic.com.es\/ciencia\/estrellas-neutrones-ultimos-suspiros-astros_22146\">estrella de neutrones<\/a>&nbsp;muy magnetizada que gira sobre s\u00ed misma a velocidades extremas,&nbsp;<strong>completando una rotaci\u00f3n completa en menos de 10 milisegundos<\/strong>. Si realmente es as\u00ed, podr\u00eda suponer el examen definitivo para la&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalgeographic.com.es\/ciencia\/claves-para-entender-teoria-relatividad_19971\">Teor\u00eda de la Relatividad General de Albert Einstein<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El descubrimiento ha sido documentado en un art\u00edculo cient\u00edfico&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/iopscience.iop.org\/article\/10.3847\/1538-4357\/ae336c\">publicado en la revista&nbsp;<\/a><em><a href=\"https:\/\/iopscience.iop.org\/article\/10.3847\/1538-4357\/ae336c\">The Astrophysical Journal<\/a><\/em>y elaborado por la doctora&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.seti.org\/people\/karen-perez\/\">Karen Isabel Perez<\/a>, investigadora postdoctoral del Instituto SETI. El objeto detectado, que&nbsp;<strong>completar\u00eda una rotaci\u00f3n completa en apenas 8,19 milisegundos<\/strong>, se encuentra situado en las inmediaciones de Sagitario A*, el agujero negro supermasivo central de nuestra galaxia que cuenta con una&nbsp;<strong>masa equivalente a cuatro millones de soles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEstamos esperando con gran inter\u00e9s lo que las observaciones de seguimiento puedan revelarnos acerca de este candidato a p\u00falsar\u201d,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/news.columbia.edu\/news\/researchers-announce-discovery-possible-pulsar-milky-ways-center\">afirm\u00f3 Perez en un comunicado oficial<\/a>&nbsp;tras la publicaci\u00f3n de los resultados. La cient\u00edfica apostill\u00f3 que<strong>&nbsp;el equipo tiene puestas sus esperanzas en utilizar este&nbsp;<em>faro c\u00f3smico<\/em><\/strong>para profundizar en el conocimiento de las leyes f\u00edsicas que rigen el universo, especialmente en lo que respecta a la&nbsp;<strong>medici\u00f3n de la curvatura del espacio-tiempo&nbsp;<\/strong>cerca de objetos masivos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-pruebas-de-la-relatividad\">Pruebas de la relatividad<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Los&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalgeographic.com.es\/ciencia\/jocelyn-bell-burnell-y-el-descubrimiento-de-los-pulsares_19857\">p\u00falsares<\/a>&nbsp;son&nbsp;<strong>n\u00facleos remanentes de estrellas gigantes que han colapsado<\/strong>, conocidos por su densidad extrema y su capacidad de emitir haces de radiaci\u00f3n con una regularidad asombrosa. Debido a que rotan de forma tan r\u00e1pida, estos cuerpos celestes funcionan como&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalgeographic.com.es\/ciencia\/atrevida-idea-que-tiempo-no-existe-y-como-se-podria-demostrar_27369\"><em>cron\u00f3metros naturales<\/em><\/a>&nbsp;de alta precisi\u00f3n. Cualquier&nbsp;<strong>alteraci\u00f3n en el tiempo de llegada<\/strong>&nbsp;de sus se\u00f1ales permite a los astrof\u00edsicos detectar cambios sutiles provocados por la gravedad de otros astros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El cient\u00edfico&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.astro.columbia.edu\/content\/slavko-bogdanov\">Slavko Bogdanov<\/a>, del Laboratorio de Astrof\u00edsica de Columbia, explic\u00f3 que la rotaci\u00f3n de este p\u00falsar podr\u00eda generar&nbsp;<strong>anomal\u00edas visuales desde nuestra perspectiva&nbsp;<\/strong>terrestre: \u201cCuando los pulsos viajan cerca de un objeto muy masivo,&nbsp;<strong>pueden desviarse y experimentar retrasos temporales<\/strong>&nbsp;debido a la deformaci\u00f3n del espacio-tiempo, como predijo Einstein\u201d, indic\u00f3 al respecto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La detecci\u00f3n se ha producido gracias al programa de investigaci\u00f3n&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/breakthroughinitiatives.org\/initiative\/1\"><em>Breakthrough Listen<\/em><\/a>, una iniciativa global que&nbsp;<strong>busca evidencias de civilizaciones tecnol\u00f3gicas y fen\u00f3menos ex\u00f3ticos<\/strong>&nbsp;en el cosmos. Los datos fueron obtenidos mediante el&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.physics.ox.ac.uk\/research\/group\/breakthrough-listen\/deep-pulsar-survey-results-galactic-center\">Breakthrough Listen Galactic Center Survey<\/a>, un rastreador exhaustivo dise\u00f1ado espec\u00edficamente para&nbsp;<strong>localizar fuentes de radio&nbsp;<\/strong>en la regi\u00f3n din\u00e1micamente compleja y densa del coraz\u00f3n gal\u00e1ctico, donde la luz suele ser bloqueada por el polvo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-analisis-de-datos-disponible-para-todos\">An\u00e1lisis de datos disponible para todos<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Con el objetivo de fomentar la colaboraci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica, la organizaci\u00f3n ha decidido&nbsp;<strong>liberar todos los archivos de la investigaci\u00f3n<\/strong>, permitiendo que otros expertos realicen sus propios procesos de&nbsp;<em>checking<\/em>. Los vol\u00famenes de informaci\u00f3n son masivos, con archivos individuales que oscilan&nbsp;<strong>entre los 3 y 8 terabytes<\/strong>. Esta pol\u00edtica de transparencia facilita que grupos de trabajo de cualquier pa\u00eds utilicen herramientas de software libre para verificar la naturaleza de la se\u00f1al.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aunque los indicios son muy s\u00f3lidos, la comunidad cient\u00edfica&nbsp;<strong>mantiene la cautela<\/strong>&nbsp;hasta que nuevas observaciones confirmen si se trata de un p\u00falsar real o de otra fuente de radio desconocida.
